MLK FAME Community Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social, cultural, economic and community service for Seattle area residents of all ages, races, cultures, genders and ethnicities.

The MLK F.A.M.E. Community Center was founded in 2011 by members of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church with an eye toward transforming the former MLK Elementary school into a vibrant cultural center in the heart of the Central District in Seattle. MLK is now achieving its mission of promoting social, cultural, economic and community services for Seattle residents of all ages, races, cultures and ethnicities.

MLK FAME Community Center hosts its Annual States and Nations Reunion, a family friendly competition to showcase and celebrate cuisine from around the world. Contributions from this event help the center continue its mission to serve the community and honor its supporters. Learn more here!

Auditorium + Caterer’s Kitchen

The auditorium is a roomy space with high ceilings that includes a large stage and a caterer’s kitchen with hardwood flooring. The kitchen comes with a number of cooking appliances and a freezer room.

Gymnasium

A gorgeous space available for many activities including basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, as well as other activities and training. The gymnasium has easy access to the outdoor basketball court.

Community Room / Classroom

The classroom which doubles as a community room is a multipurpose room which can be utilized for activities such as arts and crafts as well as educational programs. With a graceful and refined atmosphere, the classroom offers versatility for many activities and learning experiences.

Conference Room
